Mixed Three and Four Year Old Class
Students in our mixed three/four year old class learn basic concepts and their activities focus on playing and cooperating within a group. The children will be taught how to follow directions, share with others, and work together in group activities. Classroom activities will help them make choices, problem-solve and develop motor skills.

Pre-Kindergarten Class
In the Pre-K program, learning center activities are created that require advanced small motor skills such as coloring, drawing, cutting, gluing, and tracing. Occasionally, fun learning pages are used to reinforce proper pencil grip, eye-hand coordination, listening skills, and following directions, and continued practice of proper name writing. Limited teacher direction is given. This encourages self-help, emotional maturation, and independent thinking. Time is also spent throughout the year on letter recognition and phonemic awareness, but reading is not taught. Pre-K students also continue to spend time on socialization and dramatic play during their two and a half hour class period.
